LCD Failure UL80VT

Dear Asus

I was quite disappointed with my brand new Asus UL80VT laptop. I brought a brand new Asus UL80VT note book from one of the reputed show room in Dubai. But after using this for approx 4 days I observed a one bright white horizontal line on to the LCD screen.

Initially I thought it may be due to the theme or wall paper. However I changed the theme and the bright line was still visible. The bright white lines remained on booting / close down also.

Finally I came to know it was LCD failure and the LCD has to be replaced! (Hope Asus do have a perfect quality system on their laptop assembly line!) . I contacted the showroom were I purchased this and returned the same to them. Now I am just waiting for the next shipment to come to this showroom for a replacement.

Only God knows when it will be available!

I called Asus Dubai but they have no information when the same model will be again available here!

I have only one choice to go for another brand preferably Toshiba , from the same show room and I don’t want do so because Asus is the No 1 note book in the world with minimum failures !!!

Hope that Asus will help me to get a replacement as earliest!!

Any one faced the similar LCD failure on UL80VT? Or do I need to go for another Asus model
